Welcome.
I am an individual, marriage, and family therapist licensed by the state of California (MFC#86047).
As the name of my website suggests, I am keen on helping my clients find joy in their lives. I am also interested in sitting with less "pleasant" emotions--fear, grief, disappointment, anger--because I believe wholeheartedly that the experience of these emotions may be necessary in order to make room for more joy, fulfillment, meaning and pleasure.

I received my undergraduate degrees from Pitzer College (The Claremont Colleges) in Psychology as well as English & World Literature: Creative Writing. My education continued at Pacifica Graduate Insitute where I completed a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. In addition to this formal education, I also studied holistic medicine and healing for three years at Barbara Brennan College in Florida. In addition to teaching in the Counseling Psychology Program at Pacifica Graduate Institute, I have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of clinical placements including The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center, Adolescent Growth Residential Treatment Facility for Teens, The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Los Angeles Family Therapy, and Health View Behavioral Services Center. I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and adults of all ages.
I look forward to the possibility of meeting with you.
